I'm not Filipino but I'm very proud of all of them hard working people and when they do their job they do it with excellency never forget that and when you do see a Filipino respect them to the fullest

An estimated 650,000-750,000 illegal firearms on the streets in the Phillipines. This creates a truly uniquely dangerous environment. Would you like to go to work in this type of place...? These Police officers are incredibly brave people. I had no idea they were so professional. I knew they were good, but I didn't know they were so well equiped and so well trained. I'd like to work with them for a time and then bring the skills I learned from them back to be shared among my people. I am amazed at how excellent the standard of Policing is in the Phillipines. You are doing incredible work you Police. I respect and honour you. May God watch over you and bless you and protect you while you fulfill your roles, responsibilities and duties. May you safely return to your families and loved ones every day. May the Lord protect your every step and every decision and keep you safe from the evil that threatens your streets and your suburbs. In the name of the father, may you survive and win in the battle against your enemies and against the criminals who would do you harm. God bless and protect all Police in the Phillipines and may you fight the good fight unscathed. AMEN.

I am British and married to a Philippine woman. These people are some of the most loving and caring people in the World. Such a shame many of them have to live like this. Oh and when my fellow Brit Vinny says ovafrown he actually means overthrown.

My wife is from the province Leyte......very different to Cebu or Manila......I felt Leyte as pretty peaceful, while in Cebu, when u read the Newspapers like the Freeman there.....true, shocking crimes every single day....what shocked me the most was the extreme violence involved.

Not all Filipino cops are corrupt. We should appreciate and be proud of those who do their jobs and duties very well and with integrity.

A lot off people say that they're corrupt but, they're not. Life in the philipines is hard. We dont have the best equipment and we dont have the best training. Lets see the people who look down on filipino cops do a better job than them dealing with those crimes almost everyday. Then maybe they would learn how to show some respect to people who have one of the toughest jobs in the world.

Their SWAT team did a brilliant job with the hostages in the bus...

Yeah, Manilla cops are REAL tough. They're so tough they can't even save a bunch of Hong Kong tourists on a bus from a guy with an M16.
