It's the audio. Now I understand. More than anything, the audio always gives it away as Trek Fan series immediately. I like this one. It is good acting by the captain

You know it's good star trek when you get so wrapped up in the story that you forget the cheezy effects. Good stuff

I am really digging the crew at least in the 1st few minutes of the movie! they're all very believable, no overacting, and they all mesh so well together... A lot of times with some productions I find myself being thrown out of the universe because of little things, but not with this captain not with this crew... The captain has a very good presence a very captainly swagger as does her science officer ...all well done

Considering the low budget and the time, this is actually quite good. Wish our fan club could have done something like this back then.

Just came across this gem in the Star Trek universe. I was very impressed with the writing production, acting and everything involved with this fine effort. You all should be very proud of what you've done here. Live long and prosper

Given they had to work with early 90's equipment, they went to a phenomenal amount of effort to bring me another trekverse story. I am deeply grateful for your benevolence and generosity to share your vision of the trekverse.

I’m digging the tough as nails, gritty captain dedicated to peace and a first officer who’s not only savvy but has a sense of humor. All supporting characters are played very well. 🏼

I must admit, when I first started watching it I was thinking um NO! But here I am, more than an hour into it, still stuck the the screen. ..watching it!!! That's all it takes to make a good movie, no matter the budget or the cast, to keep the audiences attention! You've succeeded! I am recovering from a medical procedure so I will watch your other movies next! Thanks for sharing this with me...a lifetime Star Trek fan!

I hope all the million dollars plus budget Trek producers watch this incredible movie and take note. THIS is what Trek is all about. A story. A story that has the meaning of adventure. Flashy hi-res visuals mean nothing, as was very well demonstrated here. Deep dives into characters that can't perform their duties because their father died, or they are sexually confused, or whatever, are vapid. This story has character conflicts, but THEY MOVE ON AND GET THE JOB DONE! I'm very impressed and will likely watch this again in the future when I need some REAL Trek.

When Dr. Crandall enters the Bridge for the first time, he makes me think of a Producer who just discovered that they're running seriously overbudget!

If you all did this in the 90's many of you are probably dead now. However your contribution to the "Star Trek universe is appreciated" Any Star Trek is better than no Star Trek. And in the 90's wow the computers really sucked a fat one back then. Good job keeping Star Trek alive!
