Looks like you've got about a 9-10 foot run of coax there, just curious which type you're using. I've heard that it's fine to use RG-8X or RG58 but keep it to < 6 feet or so to prevent too much signal loss. Sounds like you've got good RX on the 70 cm side. With your CSN what value did you settle on for RIT to get a good copy of yourself? Also, I love seeing the solutions people come up with to operate their 9700 portable. That's a neat idea with the step ladder. I have yet to see one where people can walk around while operating, even if you wear it strapped around your neck you still have to lug a battery somewhere. Definitely not the most portable of radios.

Hi Eric; thanks for the satellite demo! What are all those white things flying around you? Are they bugs? I don't recall ever wearing a long-sleeve shirt while in HI, let alone seeing that many bugs in one spot. But I was only there for a couple of weeks, lol. 73 --D'oh! I just heard where you said that you were in Wisconsin. I had a hard time understanding your shifted audio....
