India doesn't generate all its electricity through renewable resources, how come electric vehicles are environment friendly??? To change those vehicles you have to produce electricity by burning the coal somewhere.... Diesel cars run more than 30 to 50% in liter of diesel compared with liter of petrol so pollution can be equally produced by both the fuel in real time scenario..... Govt banning the diesel cars only because maruti can't make diesel engines as they failed to produce their own diesel engines....

In the Middle East ALL passenger cars including TOYOTA and Nissan suv's are running on Petrol since 1996 onwards.

Ev is not the future, it's just a stop gap. Do we have an ev battery recycling unit. Because it's not cost effective and causes more pollution. Ice will not die. Their is H2 fuel, fuel cell, ammonia fuel. Even solid state h2. Hence I say ev is not the future.

What about diesel tucks? Which is responsible for major contribution in pollution.

Reduce petrol price costs, then the diesel cars will be phased out automatically. When petrol cars are expensive to run, people will keep talking about diesel.

This is very very sad being a diesel car lover.

We cannot see our cars in ditch, for that nitin shouldn't take actions.
