The fact that these men were able to do this without any armor or protection besides a helmet that barely kept you safe from getting shot in the head and won is still incredible to me.

I see a lot of people wanting to be reenactors unfortunately though for the future generations of reenactors you're going to find the equipment quite ridiculously expensive. Its bad enough now I can't imagine how bad it's going to be for you guys. Firearms, helmets, even repro uniforms just keep going up. Good luck future reenactors you're going to have to keep it alive.

This is awesome to see a reenactment of this battle. My great uncle died from a grenade there. We have his ring he wore at D-Day and it actually had a peice of shrapnel melted into his ring.

This reenactment is incredible I can’t believe how much was put into this recreation of such a horrific day. You got the planes, the boats and the sounds of gunfire. What was amazing was the fact that they even had live radio to communicate positions. Some were even acting to be shot and kia. The only thing missing that you could never replicate is the actual gore(obviously) and the mere shaking of the ground next to you exploding from artillery. And the ground cracking from bullets and the hissing noise from it passing you. But this is as close you’re going to get. This was absolutely spectacular.
