How does this support objective thinking?
First;
Objective definition: Not influenced by personal feelings or opinions in considering and representing facts.
Neighbor 1 presents his case first (think biased media). They seem right, And as long as we only listen to neighbor 1 we will completely believe they are right.
When Neighbor 2 comes and presents his case (think opposing biased media.) You have a different picture of what is going on.
As long as we examine all sides we will have a better picture of what is happening.
