So what was the issue did you fix it

man that should start on the first turn of the key..what i do is pour a little fresh gas into the carb throat and if it fires right up you know its a problem with the carb or the gas in the fuel tank...if it doesnt fire right up its the ignition or engine

That vacuum port on front of the carb on the top is not plugged plug it and it should be fine
