Helen supposedly had a ‘face that launched a thousand ships’. So if a woman was pretty enough to launch one ship, she would have a ‘millihelen’ of beauty, the little recognised metric standard of beauty. I think we can all agree Diane Kruger possessed a full helen of beauty.

In the Iliad Helen loved Menelaus who was described as a very handsome man but Paris took her with him because Aphrodite (the goddess of love) had promised him the most beautiful woman in the world (Helen ). In some stories (not in the Iliad) Helen is in love with Paris in most of them(Iliad (the original one) and other poems) instead she was kidnapped, hated and treated as a slut ... at the end of the war she returned home with Menelaus and lived happily.
