The other issue I have with Facebook is that it is meant to be its own walled garden. It doesn't really encompass the whole Internet thing. It's like the AOL of this century.

This is spot on. Social media sites come and go. Facebook is facing its decline. They will do anything, including taking advantage of their users, to stay relevant.

As a content creator we find it more and more frustrating. between the sub issue with youtube (typically only 8-13% of views come from subscribers (don't know if you guys get similar?)) and Facebook making it harder for our posts to be seen it's incredibly difficult to get exposure and grow.
