am I wrong? --- Split Units Heat Pumps are a major step above this, much more efficient and quieter. Run 24/7 for a lot less SOLAR...

Thanks so much! I'm preparing to purchase a van home. I have MS, so I absolutely need to to NOT overheat. I'm also very environmentally conscious, so this unit might be the perfect solution for me.

Cool stuff, you know, for the ac you can place it inside an extra storage aluminium box, just cut out the sides & top vents, cut out the back and everytime you use it, just open the door.

I don't know how a Frigidaire FFRE0533S1 5,000 BTU would compare to yours as far as how quiet it is, but this one has soft start built in.
