am I wrong? --- Split Units Heat Pumps are a major step above this, much more efficient and quieter. Run 24/7 for a lot less SOLAR...

Cool stuff, you know, for the ac you can place it inside an extra storage aluminium box, just cut out the sides & top vents, cut out the back and everytime you use it, just open the door.

I don't know how a Frigidaire FFRE0533S1 5,000 BTU would compare to yours as far as how quiet it is, but this one has soft start built in.
