Wow, you play very differently than I do. I keep my resources much higher. I use spy, council, and send out diplomates. I also use happiness and police the realm more often.

I am impressed! I used to play demos of castles 1 and 2 in the 90ies, butbthey seemed to complicated or difficult for me so i never actually bought a full version..

Building 2 archers before attacking first will avoid troop loses in open territories and save a lot of time in the long run.

Pretty fun game. I never took it too seriously. I can beat it on Hard, often without much difficulty. Never could clear it on Impossible, though. This'll be interesting.
