I never played WC3 but was always intrigued by the cinematics at the time. I was busy with Warcraft 2 and the Sierra games.

Well done with the process if elimination to find the issue, im not surprised the live was responsible as wc3 works well with vibra 16 as i have that setup too. No better feeling when dealing with retro hardware & having these issues to finally get them resolved to play or do your planned streaming. I myself am right into the retro machines & games on original hw as dosbox to me is a backup option but not necessarily better. ill definately tune into more of your channel as its time consuming to get these issues sorted but looking back at wing commander series, definately a gem of a series. Its great seeing others dig into the retro stuff & phils computer lab is a great source fir thus stuff too.

To put it in perspective. When Wing Commander 3 came out the pc that would actually run this game properly was probably 3000 dollars. A 3000 computer in today's dollars would be closer to 10,000. We take for granted today how "cheap" a good gaming pc is today. Back in 1994 a "bleeding age pc" broke your back monetarily speaking.

wow so it was the sound card? That's wierd. I never had dos issues with my audigy. It was one of the only fully compatible cards that was "out of the norm"
