BYU fan here. I actually find affinity for Houston on two accounts: 1) our mascots 2) rather new on the scene, carving out a name for ourselves. Nice podcast. Go Cougs!

Thanks for the kind words on BYU. And thanks for not shutting us out when we played you a couple of weeks ago. Being shut out in a BB game is extra humiliating even it is by a top team in the nation.

But money was not the deciding factor for Dybantsa going to BYU, there were other schools who were offering more money

BYU code of student conduct is a huge plus. It weeds out the athletes who are not a good fit for BYU. ALSO, the honor code is huge where players and parents want fewest negative distractions. Christian values stand BYU apart from typical college experience (code for sex and booze) Been there. Loved it!

After experiencing some snow....I want more of it. About done with the weather down south over here. Big 12 basketball grind continues on.

Money wont be the reason someone decides to work at BYU as an AD. Holmoe has been a legend. The key would be if someone like Yormark, the BIG 12 Commissioner, who didnt have athletic conference management but did have expertese in the much needed TV broadcasting business.

I think this next game will be one of the toughest for the Coogs...Zona gonna want to make up for the loss to KState and I imagine are gonna play near perfect, especially having the home crowd. I have no doubts about the Coog defense showing up and playing hard, but this game will be a grind if we can't get everyone - including the bench - contributing equally on the offensive end.
