Just want to clear a couple of things up for everyone, you can still farm these guys after collecting the second log, however you won't always get all 4 midgets, for me the far left box never spawned a midget and the other three were fine every single run, might be different for someone else. Secondly if you enter the natural selection annex then exit, do your run and save and exit after the last midget you will spawn at the doorway to the annex next to the ammo/med machines, not at the start.

The loot midgets are the BEST to farm hands down!!!I just decided to farm that area and I've gotten about 5 Legendary(Orange) items not included the relics those come a dime a dozen just now I got a Lvl72 Onslaught Veruc and a Homing Quasar Lvl 70 and I killed a Tubby enemy and got Lvl72 Legendary Pointman Class Mod(Commando) and I'm a Commando :)

Recently started another play through. One tip, go to the annex on way there. After that can save and quit without going back to annex and will restart outside annex door.

*And I thought that I should mention that if you DO collect the ECHO in one of the four boxes (like I did), a midget will never spawn out of that box afterwards. But I'm still getting 3 midgets every time, so I'm not complaining.

1:50 ish i can argue against the myth that you need to leave the recorders in pace, you just cannot return the mission to tannis. as long as you have the mission "incomplete" and accepted the midgets always spawn, although after picking up the recorder three of the midgets still spawn normally, but the far left box's midget is in ammo box next to the boxes for some reason...

You don't actually have to go back to the natural selection annex every time, in your first run go in and out of it and you will spawn there every time you save and quit.

BTW since the new update for BL2 gearbox has lowed the drop rates for enemies 61 and above so that means that any lvl 61 legendary loot midgets will have less of a chance of dropping rare LOOT! like this so every one can see!!

If you go to the Natural Selection Annex then turn around and walk out the door, you can save and quit as soon as you're done with the loot midgets and you will spawn in at the door every time. No need to go back and jump off the cliff.

You can pick up some of the recorders. On PS3, I have 2 of them picked up. Just make sure that you have that mission active, and that you kill EVERYTHING on the way from the Creature Slaughter Dome. If you can find my post on the GBX forums, I went 32 runs with 0 of 3 LLMs, but then saw someone's post saying that if you kill all the creatures (badass skags, etc.), midgets will appear. Since then, by killing everything, I've gotten all 3 midgets every single time. Hope I could help, bros.

If you use a siren it's easier

you can get 5 of them if you start from the start, you get one 8/10 times in the things hanging in the trees. i will try make a vid and post it up soon

I have question: Do you actually used the item of the vault hunter? That eridium item that increased your rate drop loot to 5%? I never got something orange from that loot midgets, and I did it in true vault hunter mode :(

This is a very good way to farm them,but you can farm them on any playthrough at any level (also a tip mordecai gives you a mission and that decreases the spawnrate of enemies forgot what it was called) but i farmed for around 1.5 hours for 2 days in a row and got around 50 legendaries i also got a volcano form that chest so do open them!!

If you enter then immediately exit the NSA when you're doing the actual run, if you save quit after killing the midgets, you'll still start right out the door.
