I totally agree with the outcome but I also see this as being the true ending and could be used as a little Easter egg or a slight tongue and cheek reference in the OPM canon

better yet, he wakes up like that, and - when he’s eating breakfast - ends up staring at Popeye’s picture in a can of spinach. Conflicted, but it did seem to be the first dream where he truly felt the pain of loss.

Ok, I’ve seen people complaining so much about the result of this fight, when we actually have another fight that, while it wasn’t as crazy as this, still had a very similar matchup. An undefeated superhero vs a cartoon god, AKA, Deadpool Vs The Mask. We know for a fact that cartoons are basically almost impossible to kill. Sure, some can die, but unless Saitama had the power to punch harder then the whole universe being turned off, Popeye was not going down

This match up just felt like DB just hated Saitama. LMFAO

Given how broken Popeye is he could just leave Saitamas unconscious mind and take him out in the real world

Seeing Saitama so happy to be properly challenged brought me so much joy
