Spectacular shard mate

Well, that was pretty awesome to find a historical flask like that! Wow, It looks like a Dyottville Glass House, G1-55 from what I could tell not cleaned up. What a great bottle to dig. It is listed as common which means there are quite a few out there but still to dig one yourself that is really rare. Way to go.

That flask is a spectacular find. I dig a lot of 1870s-80s stuff and have never found one, complete or broken. Let us know if you get any info on it. HH

It is a historical flask and being pontiled flask it puts it back probably to the 1860s . I believe the flask to be a Washington Taylor historical flask. Your in a good spot and I would definitely keep it hush if anybody ask. Great job and if you're pulling out stuff like your in for a big surprise.

Get a tripod if you plan to continue recording your digs. Then you can use two hands to dig and we don't get dizzy with it all over the place. They made an awful lot of counterfeit Presidential flasks, so I would have an expert look at that bottle. If it is real, its a find of a lifetime and worth a pretty penny. Great find.
