If you really pay attention Bakugo really does just seem jealous that Deku no longer follows him. He misses him. Whether he's willing to admit it to himself or not.

The thing about this that makes the idea of bakudeku so much more sad is that Bakugou is a rather selfish character when it comes to others emotions. So the line "But I know I was happier with you", speaks volumes. As long as he sees Deku is happy, then he won't be selfish. Deku comes first.
