Wow encore is much better

The chrome parts and the heads look much better in the new version but the plastic also looks like the cheapest they could find for the new one. It even looks translucid in some parts

I have a 100% complete 1984 original devastator that my dad gave me for christmas, i can point out all the differences with you

G1 devastator has always been my holy grail of transformers they where the first transformers i has ever seen at that point in time i saw him even before the g1 cartoons

I had Long Haul, Scrapper and Mixmaster as a kid. I loved them but never had the money to complete the set. Sadly, I gave all my original 80s G1 toys to my cousin. It made him very happy but I should have kept them. I did get the Walmart reissue when it came out and have been very happy with it.

The crotch piece on this set is seemingly defective. Mine is the same, so I plugged a G2 Devastator crotch piece in and now he's much for stable. Still not perfect, but infinitely better than the one out of the box.

I would like to have the cartoon accurate one

Having owned both, I prefer Combiner Wars Devastator over G1 Devastator any day of the week. Especially since I upgraded CW with toyhax stickers and a kit or two.
