Old style Cartoons were much sweeter, funny, fun even though they were in black&white.

This is an incredibly well thought out cartoon, with a coherent plot, some of the best drawing ever, and countless perfect details such as the facial expressions (love that horse), the remarkable warped design of the house, the music, the voices (!) and the expressiveness of the skeletons. Artistically it all just flows together. Possibly Ub's finest work and a real masterpiece. --- PS it shows that Flip had real star potential. Too bad it never got realized.

Better than modern horror films anyway

I love top hat skeleton guy's facial expressions! He's both cute and genuinely creepy, judging by that sudden dark turn.
