I hate to be a wet blanket, but I keep thinking what an immense loss it is to the public that all of these new train lines don't allow us to SEE Singapore so that we can understand it better, appreciate it better, and thus take ownership of its landscape. There is no sense of wonder in being shot through a tube for the entire length of the journey.
