That log was a beast man!

Good to see what it can do. It looks like you may have been better to have had the truck on lower ground, it looked like the excavator was on the lower fall side of the truck

Nice job. I have a skid steer 226d3 but was thinking of switching over the an excavator.

Wow. You almost had it on the first try before the relief valve overloaded. Glad the suspension is okay.

My friend I noticed you not use the boom swing to make a little room for yourself in a tight spot, the hydraulics for the boom swing are much more powerful than using cab swing, and will help keep things nice and tight. Boom swing is an operators special friend.

I cannot believe the spiral grain in that log a 2:00!!! I do not know if hardwoods have spiral grain issues like the conifers, but that much right hand twist was in a Western Larch it would only make firewood that was hard to split.

What would 2 logs like that bring at the mill?
cageybeeranch2021 (4 hours ago)
I really should've gone with an excavator over a tractor. We got the rural King 55 hydro.

Next time, lift the load, make sure you have a good grip and have the truck back under it.

What is that log worth
