I was disappointed at the end of the movie when "INFINITY WAR" pops up and all the letters turned to dust. Only half of them letters should have turned to dust.

The deaths are opposite. What I mean is, everyone who turned to ash is actually alive in an alternate timeline - the one timeline in which Doctor Strange predicts they win. Everyone left in the current timeline are the ones who are really dead. I believe this to be case because -

This movie really did show how powerful Thor really can be. They way stormbreaker hit Thanos despite the blast from all the combined stones trying to make stormbreaker fall out of the sky.

The heroes who got disintegrated actually got teleported into the soul stone. No one died. Its in the comics so i dont knw why people think they are dead. Its also a no brainier, marvel wouldn't let major characters die. Marvel makes money off of these heroes. So this is all facts that they did not die.
