I still haven't seen season 6 and I already have things to dislike of Starlight Glimmer.

Starlight Glimmer is my least favorite character in the entire show and represents a character trope I really hate. The Creator's Pet where her entire role is now stealing the spotlight from every single main character while she continues to shine in comparison. She's either upstaging Twilight in the Premieres/Finales or is right on the same playing field, meanwhile the rest of the Mane Six who isn't Twilight are just there to showcase they are main characters. Honestly Starlight's influence has also lead the show into an unfortunate Seasonal Rot as of season 6 and 7. (7 is a little better with some great episodes like The Perfect Pear for instance ) But during the finale she once again takes center focus.

Starlight is replacing all of the current main characters, she is really a borderline Mary Sue. She has taken away everything that makes every individual main character special by topping their magic capabilities, talent, knowledge, ETC., ETC., she is not unique - she is a Mary Sue, OP fusion of the characters we love. She learns nothing.

I am with you. That isn't fair Sunset shimmer gets punished for trying to become a prom queen, but Starlight gets reward and walk free after nearly destroying the world. You got to be kidding me. It wasn't that bad for what she tried to compared to Starlight. Yea, she doesn't get punished at all are you kidding me.

Starlight was and still is a cult leader. She's taking over the show and people's minds. In my opinion, she's darker than Tirek because of just that fact. No other villain in the show is equal to her power. Where Discord and Tirek only took away strengths and one's right mind, she takes away a pony's entire purpose. A cutie mark is a special thing a pony earns once they've discovered who they truly are and what makes them, them. That talent is then, in turn, weaved into their very DNA and exposed in the form of a cutie mark, literally becoming a part of who they are. This is why the Six experienced such excruciating pain when their cutie marks were taken; it's like someone ripping your very soul out. Now if that ain't dark for a show like MLP, then I don't know what is. And what further pisses me off is the fact that once Starlight became "reformed", the ones in the village she ran were so quick and easy to forgive her. Well I'm sorry, but if someone ripped MY cutie off to take away MY talent, ain't no way in Hell I'm gonna forgive that person; I don't care if Christ Himself reformed that person! The only thing they'd get from me is a fuckin' bullet to the head! Die Stalight Glimmer!!! YOU CUNT!!!! It's because of you I don't watch the show anymore!!!

I too hate Starlight, but I can't bring myself to call her a rip off of Amon because he is a cliche in himself, where a group leader misleads people by living by an absolute but must break that absolute to fulfill the goal they want. Starlight and Amon simply both fit that cliche. It could be entirely possible that Starlight was inspired by Amon, but I've seen the cliche in many other places.

I finally found a youtuber who actually has the same opinion i have on the most OP mare in history that isn't necessary to the show whatsoever. I am drop-dead tired of even looking at her. She made me stop watching the show and repeat the movie Rainbow rocks just to watch the Dazzlings.
