I don't think Filipino accent is bad. I always say that Filipinoes speak english clearly and that's how we can communicate effectively.

I missed teaching in my own land. Kids are respectful and always paying attention to the teacher. Great job!

To all Filipinos, let's accept that we we have our own accent. It's our own. British have theirs, americans, australians, indians, malaysians, singaporeans, etc. Accents varies on what pronunciatons are most widely used in a specific region.

No matter how we pronounce or what is our accent is.Filipinos can interact to foreighners. We don't need interpreter.English is a universal language all over the world. It's a big advantage if you know how you speak and understand this language. We should be proud of our advantage as a nation.

People negatively commenting here should go and watch how students behave, respect and speak in inner cities (Detroit, atlanta, Los Angeles, NY, Baltimore)of the United States of America.

Taking English as a Major in the Philippines produces teachers who can speak grammatically correct sentences, spell words correctly, analyze sentence construction, write texts and etc. Unlike call center agents who undergo pronunciation training to improve their accents, English Majors pay less attention to pronunciation and phonics than to any other English topics (grammar, literature, linguistics and writing).

Daming nagmamagaling...dito...atleast that teacher is so patient to teach her pupils and a good teacher at that..observe how her pupils is so keen to learn and behave accordingly...just because your good in english dosnt mean you have the right to criticize her pronounsation..why dont you do it yourself then...go out from your comfort zone and teach the kids running around on the street..hindi yung nagmamarunong na hindi nman akma sa pagkatao nyo.....good job teacher

i have been talking with my client via phone and he's from US because i work in a call center industry. and he ask me where i am located at,. i answered Philippines. and asked, why does it bother you that im from Philippines. he answered, " no i just like your accent". so I'm not ashamed if my accent is filipino not british nor american. coz i am a filipino. not american nor british.

Great job Ma'am. Spelling and grammar are emphasized in our English class but not phonics. My Mom who's an English teacher too sent me to a private school emphasizing in phonics after high school...it did helped me a lot after working in the U.S.

I'm currently living in US and there is no such thing as American Accent! Accent varies on every state. The southern accent, jees, is a killer. Lol.

we were taught like this in school and I must admit I didn't learn properly because I have phobia in teachers I survived because i only read lots of novels. it's all thanks to my entire high school english, within 4yrs we never used a pen and notebook. just freely expressed ourselves in english. back then we have no idea about american accent etc., or that we sounds funny (filipino accent). when I got my first corporate job, my colleagues speak perfect english or american accent. filipinos are really good in mimicking. it's not hard for me to do the same but, i'd prefer to speak like educated filipino accent. the one they use in court room or news. they speak clearly, anyone, including uneducated class can comprehend. in my line of work now, I converse with company ceo's down to the poorest class of society. I should tell you, that accent doesn't matter at all.
