My name is Stephan, I'm a car enthusiast. I love all cars old, new, exotics, classics and beaters. I have owned over 25 cars. I am currently rebuilding a 1969 Bay window bus and am just about done a 1962 Mercury Comet S22. I also own a 2003 Mercury Marauder, a 1990 C4 Corvette convertible , 2012 Mustang, 1996 F 150 and a New Beetle TDI.
I also putter around with my kids cars. A 500 dollar Honda Civic And a troublesome 2013 Chev Cruze.
My current daily driver is a 2016 Tacoma.

Definitely an improvement! Them centre caps when you get new tyres the tyre guys always tend to break them, I always take'em off & put them on myself! Cheers!!

Have used that chrome paint since it came out in the 70's, use to paint lawn mower rusted chrome handles and sell them. Like you said a improvement !

I have alloy rims, and i sprayed them with a 2k silver metallic top coat. This paint requires a hardener, giving the rim a hard coat. I did prime the rims beforehand. This ensures the paint sticks better and prevents flaking on the edges.

paint a thin base coat of black first... before painting chrome on it...it helps shine the finish and not dull it

I would remove the outer clip on weights. They can use tape weights on the inside of the rim. Place them as far out as possible. I do this on my car with no issues.

I used paint stripper to get the clear coat off some wheels. Worked alright. Still had to sand a bunch

I saw a vid recently were they painted chrome then cleared then a light spray of chrome again and it looked more like chrome
