something weird that im not sure is at all intentional is that Susie references unused content multiple times. KINDA LONG COMMENT WARNING JUST BECAUSE I HAVE TO POST ALL THIS DIALOGUE

a theory i've seen is that Suzy is Susie's sister, similar to how Catty and Catti are siblings (with the indistinguishable names and such)

Rain is this weird conundrum in Undertale and Deltarune, it's referenced so rarely and so indirectly, but there's this nagging feeling there's some important significance to it. Not just It's Raining Somewhere Else, but how Goner Kid reacts to the umbrella, or how when Spamton's glasses show static, there are blue streaks that look like rain in them. Or how, inversely, the wall Spamton built over his phone (which is still ringing and he seems to actively be ignoring) is painted over with a bright, sunny sky. And if it's raining somewhere else, where the Hell is it raining exactly?

i can imagine a gag where susie reveals shes has been using a fake name this whole time and like the screen focus on her, the text box is empty and a mysterious song plays while she reveals her true name: "suzy" and then ralsei just looks at her in silence with a surprised face

there might actually be something there to Susie changing her name out of rebellion: Susie's whole nature is being rebellious, it wouldn't surprise me that even her name being changed is her mocking fate in that her name will be "Suzy".

Susie has always felt out of place compared to the other party memebers, yet she has managed to carve a space for herself in the group and the story.

Oh i definitely think she'd refuse to see the dark worlds as lesser, shes our resident rebellious teen, you think shes going to see an unjust power structure that deems an entire people as lesser and servile and shes just gonna take it?

2:52 I just gotta say, having Gaster talk like Gman is such a perfect style of speaking for him and I'm genuinely shocked I've never seen it done before, they're such similar characters both in speech patterns and in concept that it just fits so well

I like to watch Deltarune Theorists going insane over one misspelling the closer it get to the Release of new Chapters. Great content!

Never heard of the "types of players" interpretation, personally, I see Susie as a symbol of rebellion against the will of the player, for her behavior in chapter 1 (not just her violence before properly joining the party, but also the way she refuses to equip axes with less ATK than the current one), and the fact that she reminds us that "our choices don't matter". This continues in chapter 2, for how she effectively forces the story to take directions not wanted from the player: she doesn't allow us to back off when we find the dark fountain at the library and invalidates the choice of progressing with her or Ralsei in Cyber City. Not to mention her apparent resistance to the player's direct influence, displayed both in the prison in chapter 1 and on the ferris wheel in chapter 2 (as opposed to Noelle who responds to the player when we call her to deal the finishing blow to Spamton).
