While reading other comments, I am glad to see I am not the only person with whom this quote has at time resonated.

Describing the Hobbit trilogy before it was even in production.

So much profundity about the ordinary struggles of life contained in that humble, homespun Hobbit-esque philosophical statement.

Will probably be thinking about this line for the rest of my life. There are more than just a few lines from the series that stick with you after watching but this one may be the most powerful. Such incredible imagery to describe such a specific feeling

In just 30 seconds he managed to describe what its like to live in today’s society

When Bilbo said “I feel thin, sort of stretched, like butter scraped over too much bread.”...I felt that.
