I feature Orthodox Christian prayers and readings, as well as a collection of homebrew music. I have found the most enlightening way into Orthodox christianity are my morning prayers and a daily prescription of a reading from the Psalter.
Finding a trusted individual (in real life) with whom I regularly share my thoughts and feelings with, as well as the recognition that without Jesus Christ in my life, I am powerless over my passions alone. My life had become unmanageable alone! I need to turn my will and my life to Him daily, so that I may help cultivate His garden, pull up my weeds, and let go of them on a daily basis.
Oh Lord grant me sobriety & humility; patience & serenity; self-awareness & self-control; healthy boundaries & loving-kindness. When I fall, help me get up, and start over. May I deny the old man, pick up my cross, and follow You, that I may be the son, the husband, the nurse, the man You made me to be today. AMEN.
