The texture warping isn't THAT drastic on PS1 games is it?

There are some problems with this attempt at replicating PS1 artifacts.

I never felt like I was on acid when I used to play on my PS1.

To all of your complaining that the PS1's texture problems were not this bad, that's because of the way this game and many others on the N64 were designed. The N64 use more complicated math for texture warping on the N64, making textures perspective-correct and thus allowing developers to make worlds bigger and less polygonal up-close. The stretching problem on the PS1 is amplified then with the larger polygons of the N64 and that's where the insane warping comes in.

In every ps1 game I've ever played I don't recall it looking like the universe is melting.

Loving it, but the texture/polygon warping was never THAT bad.

0/10 still has Z-buffer and proper 3D geometry without that awesome wobbliness effect

The texture mapping used here is much more like Ultima: Underworld than Play-Station. On the PS1, you actually do not get texture distortion, except in a few specific cases. What you're seeing, that looks like that is actually the geometry moving around.

If the polygons were twitching and unstable it would look pretty much accurate, but the way it looks right now is already kinda-sorta close to PS1... (The PS1 wouldn't have THIS much texture warping)
