i can count on 1 hand the amount of times ive fished in this pond.. yep 7 times

actually according to Jeremy the River Monster guy, he interviewed a Biologist who studies the effects of the radioactivity in the Chernobyl area who said it effects the animals in the opposite way, they are smaller not bigger. It stunts their growth.  Wells Catfish just happens to be one of the largest species.

A catfish from this pond was caught on River Monsters on ITV and the research conducted afterwards showed that the catfish in the cooling pond were 60% smaller than they should be for their age. Their growth has been stunted by the radiation.

A catfish can grow up to 3meters. Some catfish can even grow to 5meters. Thats totally normal
