It clearly shows how much you love your cats! Please don't get discouraged in any way by people who judge without knowing anything.

Thank you! My male cat had a wound on his back. Every time it began to heal, he would re-open it again from licking. I tried baby shirts, but he would always get out of them. This idea works great! I did have to create a space between the tail and stomach so that he can urinate while wearing it, and I widened the arm space so that he has good mobility. He is a large cat, 20 lbs. I used extra large (queen size) for him.

My cat got spayed yesterday and soon as I got home with her she started licking the wound none stop. I didn't have a cone collar and so I decided to look on youtube to see how to make one when I ran across this channel. It looked to be less stressful for her. Worked wonderfully and only had to leave it on for 24 hours. I took it off today and she hasn't licked it once. Thank you for this brilliant idea!

Thank you so much! I was looking for an alternative to the cone. My male cat just got neuter, been in a cone for 11 days, it was suppose to be 14. But he was losing weight, depressed, wasn't playing, so unhappy. So I released him early from this awful head trap. Well now, I am getting a female kitten spayed. I found her as a stray. I pitied what she would go through with a cone. My vet insists on cone but I will instruct her to put on suit too. When I get home, I will remove cone from my strict vet.

It is a pity that I didn't come up with this idea earlier. Even specially bought clothes didn't work, and my cut clothes were loaded in the basket. A really great idea.

This is a super alternative because I never met a cat that liked the cone ️

This is a good idea but the only problem is the material is not breathable. It is nylon so it’s made of plastic. Be sure to change this sock everyday as it can trap sweat and moisture which can cause an infection.

Babies onesies or rompers might work too, they usually can be opened from the bottom and are cat size, just needs to be one without sleeves so you can dress it on a cat. Might not work on all cats, but it's another option for the plastic collar.

I had a vet make a similar suggestion. Stockings run so easily, though, so I wasn't sure it would keep the cat from licking or chewing at the stitches. Were your cats unable to chew through it and get at their sutures?

Made one, cat escaped it twice in less than 5 minutes. Same as the little baby suit version. I have a skinny viscous teen. In the end I sewed her a fabric cone, which has worked the best for us.
