Who else appreciates the poetic irony of 611 running over C&O tracks?

I’m glad to see her out on a mainline and I hope these opportunities continue. While I love the Strasburg Railroad, running the 611 there was a bit like a Kentucky Derby winner pulling a hay wagon.

My son is special needs and he loves trains especially steam locomotives like 611 and he is overjoyed to see 611 pulling longer excursion trains like she used to and hopes she will more often. He also hopes the 2 Canadian 4-6-2 Pacific's 1238 & 1286 will return to Virginia and doublehead passenger trains like they did in the early 1990s.
