I'm Lesley, Mom to 12, Gran of 23 beautiful children, Sewist, Artist, and passionate Creative. I am here to invite you to The Sewing Circle. For those of you who may not know, a sewing circle is a group of people (you and I) who meet regularly for the purpose of sewing, chatting, community, connection, and advice. In my former life as a Mennonite, our sewing circle was a place to come work on sewing projects. As we spent the day together, we exchanged advice on household management, pregnancy and childbirth, marriage, and recipes as well as stories from years gone by. Our lunch was potluck style. We enjoyed ourselves, and as our children played together, we gathered around in love and community. Here, I strive to create the same atmosphere.
I upload a sewing video every Friday at 6 AM. for #Fridaysews.
So grab your coffee, snack, and sewing project... Let's go to Sewing Circle!

I’m so glad to find you. I live in Washington state. I’m married to a cattle rancher. I have 9 grandchildren. Hoping for more since my identical twin son married a triplet. Fun times ahead

A girls vest with a silky lining for the pink fur. My Bernina 180 and 830's both have stitch counters to record "mileage".For the quilt back use a busy print so the quilting hides in the print. For kids you can use adult thrift clothing for "fabric".

That's a super idea: have odometers on sewing machines

Hello- Thank you for your time! I’m excited to subscribe. I live in Wisconsin and when I’m in areas where there are Amish or Meninites, I will go to their stores on their farms and purchase fabric , notions and spices. It’s always interesting and they have high quality items. I’m excited to see your techniques!

I am from Melbourne from Australia . Being doing craft since I was seven . The nuns taught me to knit at 7 at primary school . They taught us to do check tablecloths , sew pillowcases , aprons , gathered skirts and peasant blouses . I did sewing all through out my secondary school too and needlework was all throughout . Very grateful for all of this as it am in handy as I had four children and nine grandchildren .

the pink fur like material would be so cute in a vest, or jacket.
