Wow, 1400 FPS. That’s a great load and I have a lot of those bb’s around the house for the boys B.B. guns. Will try that one when I get a press🏻

I bought the cheapest target 12 gauge shells (100 Winchester clay target rounds 7 1/2 shot) dumped the shot and replaced with 60 BB’s. It worked really well. Not sure if I saved much but it was a fun successful experiment. Also made some nice buckshot with the smaller slingshot ammo and that did save a lot of money over buying buckshot.

You're a brave man shooting steel without a steel wad

Thanks for the sub, got you back. Shot a few foxes with BB loads, still break legs at 40 yards. Looks like a nice load you got there. 🏻

I just got a 12 gauge press and this is a load I’m interested in since BB’s are cheap.

The 12S4 wad was not designed for steel shot. You need a thicker wad rated for steel and other nontoxic shot. This load will eventually damage your barrel.

Thanks man grate information

That would definitely be one nasty ass load! Would do a good job on predators.(2 legged or 4)

Thanks! I want to do a bunch of 20 Gauge 2.75" steel BB loads for general purpose. Lee press just arrived.

Shotshells.... got my attention

I need to pull out my load all and press up a bunch of these.

Wow, I hope you're okay, trading off shot weight for that excessive powder charge! My Lee bushing chart says the .198 bushing drops 25.7 grains of Green Dot, not 23.0 (I'd use the .171 and get 22.2, or weigh a drop from the .180 which the chart calls 23.4). If you measured a drop that ran light because you weren't moving the press like a normal loading, and then the shells got the full charge, you might have an overload, potentially a dangerous one.

Looks like a pretty nasty load . Keep that one in mind for future use .

You sir are the cat's meow. Thank you for sharing. Have you ever shot trap with it? If so, how did it go?
