The writer is the guy that made Kaguya sama and in the manga he’s surprisingly in touch with modern celebrity culture and cancel culture where it genuinely doesn’t feel like it’s a boomer going “How do you do fellow kids?”. It’s basically a giant F-you to the shady side of businesses like manga industry, idols, stage plays, live-action anime productions, V-Tubers and even YouTubers when fans treat creators as objects instead of human beings

Oshi No Ko is such a hard sell without giving away the twist. I have to BEG my friends to look past the really weird premise and that its more than that
