My name is Marie from Our Okie Homestead. We are located in Beautiful Southeastern Oklahoma. We have a small Pecan Orchard. We added Peach and Plum trees in 2022.
We've raised some Paint horses over the years and even showed some.
But as life does, things change and we change direction with it.
I started trying gardening again a couple years ago after having so many failures in the past. But after watching lots of good YouTube channels, even I became successful in growing some of our own food! Which made me want to grow even more!
We have added goats to the farm again. Been a few years and sure have missed their poison ivy removal services! We are negotiating work terms with them at this time. So far they just want to hang out instead of working, LOL!
We've had chickens most of our time here on our farm but added some Turkeys end of 2022.

My niece and nephew live in that area, my nephew is a tribal police officer Anthony Aho and he was lucky that only a tree fell through his roof, my niece and her daughter's house was destroyed, her was the one with a refrigerator in the tree, but thankful they all made it out safe

This is where I live. Driving through town and seeing the destruction feels surreal today. I had to shelter in place with my 2 dogs while it hit about a mile from my home. The damage is very upsetting to see yet I'm so grateful that it wasn't worse. Prayers for our communities and everyone effected by this tornado.

The houses look like they are surprisingly standing, with some damage. Powdery looked terrible with heavy damage to all of them.

Alot of tree damage! Most folks think we only get twisters during tornado season. Im glad everyone was ok

I live in northern Indiana we've had our fair share of severe weather which is nothing compared to this his is. This just absolutely heart breaking prayers to all.

Oh My Goodness! How awful! It's amazing to see those trees snapped off like twigs! I can't imagine how scary it is to go through a tornado tho. The thought of it terrifies me! Hope the damage isn't too bad at your mother's home!
