Thank you for showing your sewing area. I am also 66. I have a Kenmore sewing machine that looks a lot like that one in the middle. I got it when I was 16.

The little wooden tube from your mother is a needle keep to keep your good needles in. Especially good to use when taking your hand sewing on the go. I love mine.

I enjoyed seeing your sewing room and your chat. I think guest bedrooms were invented to become sewing rooms! I've been sewing as long as you have, and I have many of the same tools--like the bodkin for feeding elastic which I've used many times. I also consider my clover seam ripper as my favorite.

I bought one of those white, under sink organizers for my sewing room, never really used it, and ended up giving it to my husband for the top of his filing cabinet
