Its all about the box. The part that sucks is trying to tell someone they need a $200+ box when they spent $80 on the subwoofer lol.

nice to see someone who really understands the intricacies of audio. I don't do car audio, but I do help people setup PC audio and they are always amazed that a sub $200 system can provide jaw dropping bass as well as crisp clear treble. As you said, the box matters, in my case I built a custom "hood" to go over my gaming rig to optimize the sound. Less than 400w total power but it rocks the house and even beats out my wife's 1000w Phillips system. Well done, you've earned another subscriber.

I bought my 12 for $89 and the rz1 2500D amp for $69. Built a ported box to spec and this shit bumps more than any of my previous setups. I couldn't believe how hard it hits for the price. Best bang for the buck in my opinion. The box design makes a huge difference when you don't compromise.

It's nice to step out of the heaviness of life and all the issues and go back to looking at, even for a little bit, the stuff that makes audiophiles happy and music fun to listen to!
