Honestly besides the minor cliches(like the 3AM and celebrity thing) this is actually a good horror apocalypse-type premise. The looping part too, thinking the horrors ended but you keep on repeating.

This is every one of my nightmares in a nutshell, it’s a constant rollercoaster of ok, then horrible, then less bad, and horrible, until either I realize I’m dreaming or I wake up. It’s the worst, and it sometimes is even traumatizing.
