It is a very awsome find Xxiou. For everybody else, yes the planet in the save point is NOT Earth exactly, of cource not. What we say is there is a lot of similarities. Australia is very dominant and obviously easy to find, if you turn it right the way up, you will find India, Thailand, Indonesia, New-Guinea, South-Korea and Japan easily but there is a big gaping hole inland between China and Russia. By going west of India you will find an amputated Afrika with the lower half gone, but the Red Sea and the Persian Gulf is there. Europe is more mangeled but by having a forgiving eye you can easily find scandinavia with Norway, several islands wich can be Iceland and UK. The middle of europe has an Italy chape and more. What do you think? Have Hello Games shrunk Earth and hidden the distorted result in the Save Point? I myself think there is a lot of identifyable things for it not to be. Have a nice day and happy exploring everyone.

I like to think the entire solar system is somewhere hidden in the game

I will never stop looking for a green grass, blue sky, nice oceans, perfect weather , with a dead moon

To think there's a possibility that they just threw our solar system in the game somewhere in the galaxy is very intriguing. I wonder if it will ever be found should it actually exist

Rest in peace, Xxiou! I just started playing this game, and your vids were integral in getting my head around the mechanics/nuts and bolts of the game. I am absolutely gutted that I didn’t have the chance to enjoy this fantastic game with you. Your demeanor was one that I’ve found a lot of people cherish, myself included-kind, but not meek, laid back but not aimless, talented but lacking pompousness. I hope that your friends and family are able to find the time they need to grieve the loss of such a wonderful human being.

This is a fun find but honestly nothing about it looks like earth to me not even the ones you've labelled. There is such a thing as pareidolia and I think this is what's happening here. Let's face it if HG wanted to hide a replica earth in game somewhere I'd like to think it would be accurate and clear that it was what it was otherwise it kinda defeats the object of it being an easter egg. I say keep looking guys, lol.

I've noticed this all the way back to the Foundations Update - an upside-down Earth. Back then, the globe was actually spinning instead of static.

there was a rumor in 1.0 that there is an earth entire planet somewhere in the game, located roughly in same area where the earth would be compared to the milky way galaxy

It’s very possible that because nms is presumably set in the future that earth has gone through a bit of a continental change

It's interesting to think that in the 18 quintillion planets, our home world is out there, somewhere.

There's a YouTube channel called Maverick where he finds and showcases multiple Earth-like planets (green grass, blue water and blue sky) in No Man's Sky. In fact, that channel inspired me to look for one myself. Throughout my search, I found several with green grass, blue water and blue sky - but it wasn't until 1400+ warps (which altogether took around 4 months) when I finally found an Earth-like plant with no storms (and as a bonus, no sentinels either).

I have found a more than a few planets that looked like Earth, with normal trees, blue sky, green grass and the right amount of blue ocean to land and everything. I named them all Terra Nova.

I think the biggest problem with "Earth in NMS" is that Earth has a variety of different biomes. You'd need about twelve NMS planets to have a better representation of Earth's environments.

Homo sapians: is life common in the universe, why so big space and we never see any aliens?

They might be saving the solar system for the final installment in the game. Would be an epic last expansion imo

If there is 18 quintillion planets, it is more likely people haven’t discovered them all than they have. Earth could be somewhere along with the rest of the solar system and we just haven’t found it yet. I mean 18 quintillion is close to the amount of grains of sand on the entire planet so imagine finding 7 specific grains of sand out of all the deserts and beaches and sandbags on the planet. I mean it’s on a far higher level than finding a needle in a haystack.

I like this idea that your save is always linked to Earth, to HelloGames, as if the game is breaking the 4th wall. Your data comes from HG's servers and is transmitted into the game, into whatever part of the universe you're in, to play.
