If you bring extra fuel, you might be able to make it to 175 by time you run through the first tank of gas, and the second fuel tank might make it from 175 to 183 if you have enough time and a straight road for the car to keep going. 184 with the wind blowing in the right direction.

The danger at high RPM's is oil starvation, where the engine isn't getting the lubrication needed and the metal moving engine parts heat up, expand and pistons rub against cylinder walls. Mechanics simply call it oil starvation. It's fine if you don't expect your engine to last very long.

they must build them better today....i had a 70 challenger R/T 440 and buried speedometer at 150 but the car got light feeling and felt like it was going to drift so i shut in down...but that was in 73
