My girlfriend just started treadmilling again and she gets up really early, and she's very considerate, so if I say something about the loud beeping, I had better have a solution, or she'll just stop treadmilling. You are my hero. Seriously, thank you. The only time I can work out is when my toddler is asleep, and that beeping always woke her up. $1000 machine and it doesn't have a mute button?

thankyou so much! mine has (had!) a shrill piercing beep that would sound for each of the 20 times i hit the button to speed up at the start of my workout. not good incentive when it's 4am and your ears are still waking up -.- as someone else mentioned, $1200 machine and no mute button?!?! again, thankyou, you've saved my mornings :D

OMG. THANK YOU! I disabled mine in about two minutes. My alarm was right under the small door panel that just opens right up. I pried the thing loose and voila! The value of my treadmill just skyrocketed.

In my case I had a treadmill that had speakers built into it and the beeping was coming out of there. All I had to do was disconnect the speakers

Just disconnect the ifit from behind the console. Mine stopped beeping and it worked.

Unfortunately for me, the buzzer is wired into 2 speakers in the unit! Horizon made it a MAJOR disincentive to work out.
