Jesus didn't come to start another religion. We didn't leave the church, but religion. I know without a doubt I have the Holy Spirit living in me when asked Him into my life. I had this same experience when I finally decided to leave Catholicism.

I’m a former catholic - raised a cradle catholic

I used to be an ex catholic but I came back to the Catholic Church. I left it because I didn't know what everything meant. Eventually I came back to the Catholic Church because they literally have Jesus. First you go to the fount and do the sign of the Cross with the Holy Water. Then you genuflect to the Tabernacle where Jesus is held. Then you kneel down and pray. You read the Bibles Scriptures for that Sunday. Mass starts Jesus comes into the Church. The lecture readers explain what you are going to read. Then you actually hear the Bible verses. We stand up for the Gospel reading because it is the actual Words of Jesus. The Priest comes up and explains the Scriptures that we just read and shows us how to apply it to our lives. We say the Nicene Creed together and the Our Father. Then we do the Eucharist part of the Mass. Then the Mass is done. If you stay for the Blessed Sacrament also known as Holy Hour you get to experience Jesus in your midst. That is what drove me back into the Catholic Church. Please tell me how you did not see Jesus in the Catholic Church. And also a side note. You are not going to feel Jesus 100% of the time. If you are a true believer a feeling is not what you need what you need is the truth and knowledge. Read the passages of Job. He lost everything. His family his friends and his material things but yet he never forsaked God because he knew that God was True. Think about Jesus. He suffered for us. It is not always going to be this lovy dovy type of feeling all of the time. Obviously he will sometimes. Read the Early Church Fathers like Ignatis, Irenaeus, Polycarpe and Saint Thomas Aquinas. Read the Diary of Saint Lucia and of Saint Faustina. Pray the Rosary! We all love you and want you to come back to the Church. Jesus only set up one church not many protestant denominations. Catholic is Greek for universal. Please search for Jesus with Catholic Eyes. We also have the 14 stations of the cross in every church. Thanks.

That's so wonderful, sister in Christ Jesus! I was born and raised a Catholic but when I became an adult who could reason for myself, I converted to Protestant. I have realized many Catholic teachings/traditions are either man-made or simply in contradiction with the Bible!

For some reason it's hard to believe Jesus wanted his church to grow to over 40,000 different Protestants demonizations all saying they follow the Bible but all believing something different. Anyone else think the same.

Hey I just wanna say many reasons why you left are misconceptions. Try checking out a YouTuber named lizzieanswers she was Protestant and explains many catholic teachings in a simple way and refers to the Bible and early church fathers who were taught by the apostles
