I wish everyone could have experienced Rome in the 60's. Back then, every landmark monument was completely empty. No one traveled to Italy back then for a vacation. It is something I will never forget. Thank you for posting!

This is the first time I’ve “seen” the Trevi Fountain. Thanks for sharing.

I was stationed in Italy from 1969 - 1971. Rome was so beautiful and you could sit on the Spanish Steps and eat lunch then. Then climb them up to the Via Veneto and have a aperitif at Harry's bar and watch the rich and beautiful pass by.

Hubby and I visited Rome back in 1984 when we went to all the big cities of Europe. Rome was one of my favorites. I really loved their pizza which I believe is the best in the world. Also the Forum and Coliseum. When walking I did a bad thing and picked up a broken piece of of marble that had a rounded edge. It must have been part of a walkway. We also saw the pope when he came out in his pope mobile. The Vatican was amazing. We stayed in a little room overlooking all of Rome. I’ll never forget it.

Thank you for this lovely film and not just giving us 5 second cuts. It allows us to really SEE the fountain. Lots of information too. I often wonder how many people actually look at their photos again.
