This kind of thing is actually why I hate T-Spins as a mechanic. I just want the game to be about pure speed and line clears, not this fancy-pants gyroscoping crap that rewards you just as much attack power as a tetris.

It's not a misdrop, it's the staircase opening, a highly risky opening for tetris, but one that can easily reward an opponent who doesn't expect you to reverse them.
