The blown home run call against the A's is a marvelous testament to the quality and professionalism that Angel Hernandez brings to his job.

Pause at 2:02... every pitch was outside of the strike zone !

You've obviously never seen Armando Galaraga's "almost perfect game"

I love ty wigginton losing his mind and straight posturing like hes in a 1920s news reel.

You missed the worst of them all - Armando Galarraga being robbed of his perfect game June 2, 2010

At #3, even Joe Nathan can't believe the call and it went his way.

2:02 - "Near the outside corner". And Venus is near Earth. This is balls versus strikes, not whether there was an eligible receiver in the vicinity.

You know it's a bad call when Joe Maddon turns into Lou Piniella........

These were the replacement refs from the NFL.

These calls are up there with the worst I've ever seen in baseball. I've learned to (sort of) live with bad calls because I understand that human error is inevitable. There's a fuzzy line between bad calls and calls people simply won't accept. The "won't accept" calls are the ones that determine winners, losers and history. The Galarraga/Joyce and Bartman/Cubs nightmares come to mind. I've heard too many stories of soccer refs. being killed for making bad calls. Each major sport has tried like hell to address bad calls and they've certainly righted some wrongs but at what cost? Adding boredom and length to games. The NFL has taken reviewing plays to new heights. Personally, I'd rather see sports take their chances with human error and keep the games flowing. Just my opinion and I respect those who disagree. Thanks for posting!

Now, why would Armando Galarraga's perfect game be off this list?

It's kind of a touchy subject, because I like the element of human error in baseball - but this is exactly why we got instant replay. Good vid. Glad we can avoid calls like these now.

You did great at keeping each clip at an adequate length but not making them longer than necessary. Well done!
