Description
Hello mountain bikers! I've been mulling it over, planning videos and putting in some work to completely revamp the channel into something new in 2019. I'll be taking much more time over each video and have been working on all the post production stuff like animations and such things, to give everything a much more polished look. I'll be coming back in September or October of 2019, making much more professional, cinematic and pre-planned videos, that will knock your socks off.

Why September? There are two main reasons. Firstly, we have a house move to do in August. Secondly, I don't want to start until I have the GoPro 8 to use for my POV filming. I don't want anymore sound or stabilization issues and while the GoPro 7 would get it done, it seems a shame not to wait.

That's it, see you in a few months!

Nice device. I do manuals anyway but try to drop your seat as low as you can. Also shift your body more towards the ground nearly hitting your ass on the wheel. Keep your heels down! You will feel the bike comes up easier. Good luck dude!

Hey, that looks just like my sort of woodworking....glad there is someone else out there who is as accurate as me!

if you put a small piece of wood under the ends of the outriggers and one under the front to give it three contact points it will balance on almost any ground

Question: Should the braces be so high? I figure they may limit your range of motion from side to side, which is also necessary during an actual manual. You are not only trying to control the forward and back, but also side to side. Great build!

Hmmm, I may need to build one of these. Thanks for recording the construction of it.

I am wondering about the need for the outriggers. Is that going to put the wrong stress on the rear wheel if you get off balance and dork it up? Would it be better to just tip over and catch yourself with your foot? The 2x6 (or 6x2 as you call it) should be just the right amount of support. I have not built one yet. Thoughts?

awesome idea so has this actually helped or is it now fire wood??
magnifiresrealm (20 hours ago)
You did a great job at that! Hopefully you will be able to manual for miles after this!!

Have you found out how to bail when you loop out? Can you get clear of the rig and bike?

Nice. Can't wait to see you progress on it

Seems a little extra complicated. Is there a reason the for building on a 6x2, instead of directly onto the ground. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't it work just building a box for the back wheel, with nothing underneath, just an outrigger for stability (which could be mounted on the back or front of the box)? Just trying to limit the lumber needed.

Nice!!...good idea...maybe a bit too big for my small garden (the owners of my garden are my daughters hahaja)...I could make something that could assembly and disassembly in a short time
nofrontbrakes (12 hours ago)
I'm totally making one of those now.
