I find it funny how people always endorse the .243 as a great deer round for youth or small individuals, yet the same kind of people down talk the .25-06 and call it a varmint gun. I love my .25-06 and it will drop a deer no problem.

25-06 has been overlooked since day 1. All the recent fuss about the 6.5 family when with the 25-06 you’ve had perfection all along.

I have a Kimber Classic Select grade 25-06. I have taken several whitetails with it. I love it! Low recoil and shoots GREAT!

I love my 25.06 and have had it since about 1978. Remington 700 BDL heavy barrel.

The 25-06 is actually at it's most versatile with the heavier 117 or 120gr bullets. The best all-round calibre for Australia. Perfect for pigs, goats & roos.

Scored a used Ruger M77 25-06 online and it is a keeper. Barrel has little or no use, and being a bull barrel, it should suck up recoil like a sponge. Can't wait to make some handloads for her to see what she likes!

My favorite cartridge and I've taken many deer and boars with it. The trajectory difference between 100-120 grain is so minuscule its amazing. I can use my 30-06, 300, etc etc but I will pretty much use my 25-06 for anything in North American minus brown bear, moose and elk is a toss up. My buddy did a one shot elk kill with 117 grain 25-06 it took 5 steps and face planted. The velocity makes it so deadly!Enjoy this cartridge and their are more factory loads today then ever before and if you reload then the possibility is endless.

Picked up my savage axis in 25-06 today. Beautiful firearm. Cant wait to get it to the range.
