Madeline’s theme is one of my favorite leitmotif’s, it’s used in so many songs and still sounds absolutely perfect. It somehow works in the saddest and most upbeat songs in the game, and can find it everywhere and it just works.

I think it would be nice if you talked about the deeper meaning of the songs, e.g the synth (representing badeline) progressing in intensity and volume with each level of the summit, showing how she slowly becomes more confident and positive throughout the climb, or in First Steps, the rising and falling arpeggios being played by the piano and the synth representing Madeline on her climb with Badeline, trying to “drag her down”, or In the Mirror’s main melody being the same notes as Quiet and Falling but reversed, and the high synth notes being the same synth used for Madeline’s voice, as if she’s screaming. Part of the reason some Celeste music is so good is because of the way it builds on the story and events of the game, and it certainly changed my song ranking after going through all of them

I myself wouldn't put [number 1 spot] there, but the song did made me cry when was listening to it outside of the game, so I completely get it
