As an Oiler fan in Edmonton, I'll hand it to the Stars and Dallas in general, this is a classy franchise, and this podcast is amongst the best I've heard for unbiased analysis from a team channel. Good job Joey.

The Oilers learning to defend is an M. Night Shyamalan level twist nobody could have seen coming.

The difference is the Oilers are deeper than the media gives them credit for, defend better than people think and they have 2 generational talents. Dallas is just in the wrong place at the wrong time in history. The Oil are bigger, just as fast and have elite top end skill and Dallas running 5 D is starting to catch up to them as they are not deep on the backend. When game breakers go through the tough lessons of losing and waiting for a supporting cast to develop they eventually win. It’s a narrative that runs through all sports for all time. Dallas is good, but they don’t have McDavid and Draisaitl and them boys are destined to win at some point and with Skinner gaining and experience and confidence it looks like they are ready to take that next step.

Huge Oilers fan here. I have so much respect for Dallas. They are a true class act of a franchise and team. This has been one hell of a series.

Can I just say you Dallas fans are a class act so nice and down to earth no ill will to whoever wins this series

Oilers fan here. Don't be so hard on Dallas. These guys are warriors and will not go down easy. I expect them to win game 6, unless the oilers can keep up their fast pace and relentless defensive play for 3 games? Dallas in game 3 was the best I've seen from them, scary good. What happened to that? So ya, if Dallas can find that level again, they will win game 6. But if oil keep playing like last 2 games, then game 6 will be a war like we've never seen before. Can't wait. Good luck to all.

Let me start off by saying that I’m an Oilers fan. I just want to commend both teams for their effort. The ups and downs, rollercoaster of emotions, swing of momentum in this series, has been spectacular. We won’t find out the true extent of the injuries ailing both sides til after the series/season is over, but it’s the best hockey I’ve watched in a long time.

Appreciate your podcast a lot dude. I for one am not over confident. I’m not counting out the stars. That’s a great team over there. Now they have their back against the wall & they are a great road team. Go Oil!

Stars still have a 29% chance of still winning this series. It’s not much, but I have faith in the Stars!

The Stars haven’t scored a single PP goal in this series and they gave up a short handed goal. That pretty much sums up everything without needing to dive deeper into the rest.

This is exactly how vancouver played in games 6 and 7 against Edmonton..its more so how good the oilers played not how bad the nucks or stars played...

Your podcast is excellent. You call it how it is and that’s refreshing. It’s nice to listen to someone who’s not a complete and total homer for once. As an Oiler fan the momentum is in Edmonton’s favour but the series is far from over. Dallas is an excellent hockey team.

First cross check was fine on Suter. It was the 2nd and 3rd shot when he was on his knees that drew the roughing call. Can’t do that. Legit call IMO.

Very good observations. Very impressed with this team & their fans. Teams are very similar in their play. So nice to watch 2 clean playing teams who just play with hockey talent & leave out the dirty stuff that Vegas, L.A. & Vancouver give. Credit too to the Dallas fans. Class act!

That game just made me sick...

Jani Hakanpää come on down. We need you! Let Suter sit one out!

I think the first 2 series wore the Stars down, they look like a completely different team the last 2 games.

This team is just embracing its Minnesota sports team roots by absolutely disappearing in big moments. I’ve watched a lot of bad hockey games as a long time Stars fan but this is absolutely embarrassing. Credit to Edmonton 100%. I can’t say enough about how well and structured they have played. With that said Dallas hasn’t even fought for it. It’s not about losing battles when the guys aren’t getting in the battle to begin with. On a side note, anyway we see DeBoer shake things up and bring a guy like Bourque? Fresh legs with a ton of skill and willingness to shoot the puck. We could use all of that right now.
